Woodland Wonders - 24 day Advent 2024
This years 24 day Yarn advent calendar theme is Woodland Wonders! There will be a separate 12 day advent this year, see theme below. Project bag/yarn/sock pattern alternative and a weekly advent (4 x 100g skein) will also be Woodland wonders theme, see below.
24 day Advent Calendars go on sale on March 29th (7pm GMT) 2024 and a second batch on August 1st each year (7pm GMT). I do not offer payment plans but this second batch allows people to save up. Email subscribers will get first dibs on the August batch.
They are available in different sizes (10g or 20g minis) and on different bases (Merino, Stellina, BFL, Highland wool on fingering weight yarn, and Merino or highland wool in DK). Each mini will be individually wrapped and some days will include a few little extra surprises (including something to sew). I also include a new knitting pattern and an exclusively printed Tote bag. Prices will range from £108 for the advent, with the option to add an additional 100g skein for Christmas day (different from the 12 day Advent and the Woodland wonders sock set). These prices INCLUDE POSTAGE. Colourways will be mid tones and pale colours (see inspiration image above) and designed especially for the advent. Colours will not be based on Christmas but the woodland wonders theme. Advents will be dispatched in October to allow plenty of time to arrive before December.
Woodland Wonders - Sock Set and Project Bag Alternative 2024
With the same theme as the 24 day Advent, I decided to put together a special kit for making socks. This includes a 100g + 20g sock set with a choice of base (Merino, Stellina, BFL on fingering weight yarn or Merino DK). It will also include an exclusive project bag (medium sized) inspired by the Woodland Wonders theme, decorated with applique and free motion quilting with the choice of having a drawstring or zipped closure. The set will include a sock knitting pattern, Suitable for both fingering and DK weight yarn. Yarn colours will be different from the advent, so you may want to treat yourself to both kits. Kits will be £80 INCLUDING POSTAGE. Kits will be dispatched mid October to allow plenty of time to arrive before December.
Woodland Wonders Weekly Advent 2024
In the same theme as the Woodland Wonders 24 day advent, I am also offering a weekly advent. Where you will receive 4 x 100g skeins individually wrapped. The yarns will be dyed in similar colour to the Woodland wonders inspiration image, but the actually colourways will be different from the colours in the 24 day advent and sock set alternative. The colours are designed to work well together in a project like a shawl, cardigan or jumper. These yarns will be available on different bases (Merino, Stellina, BFL, MCN, Alpaca, Highland wool on fingering weight yarn, and Merino or highland wool in DK). There will not be a pattern included in this weekly advent. Each package will include a little extra like a stitch marker. Prices will range from £80 INCLUDING POSTAGE. Kits will be dispatched mid October to allow plenty of time to arrive before December.
Frost Bites - 12 day Advent 2024
I have decided to do a separate 12 day advent this year for people to open either during advent or the 12 days preceding Christmas. The theme will be Frost bites, which is actually the first advent theme I designed back in 2019. Little warm hugs of yarn to keep away the cold winter. This time the yarns will all be dyed in soft blues and greens inspired by the image above.
They are available in different sizes (10g or 20g minis) and on different bases (Merino, Stellina, BFL, MCN, Highland wool on fingering weight yarn, and Merino or highland wool in DK). Each mini will be individually wrapped and some days will include a few little extra surprises (although not as many as in the 24 day advent). It will also include a knitting pattern for a cowl and an exclusively printed drawstring bag with the Frost bites theme. Prices will range from £75 for the advent, with the option to add an additional 100g skein (different from the 24 day Advent and the Woodland wonders sock set). These prices INCLUDE POSTAGE. Advents will be dispatched in mid October to allow plenty of time to arrive before December.
