This year our two advent themes explore the contrast between a cosy homestead and exploring the universe! A contrast of jewel tone and pastel themes. Which one do you prefer? See circles in the images below for colour inspiration.
‘Out of this World’ theme is inspired by the beautiful images we are all familiar with from outer space! Our son Jensen is very into space and the planets at the moment so we had to have an advent theme related to the beauty of the universe! Explore colour with me in this jewel tone adventure!
‘Haven Cottage’ is an idyllic haven full of cosy and crafty goodness! Inspired by beautiful pastal tones of tasty macarons and beautiful tea sets. Baskets of yarn and other crafty goodies fill the cottage. I invite my crafty friends to join me in this beautiful space.
As always I am offering 12 day and Project bag / sock set alternative in the 'Out of this world' theme and 24 day and weekly advents in the 'Haven Cottage' theme. See below for details of the contents of each kit.
Note that I have a new 50g option for the 12 day advent. This would be good for Stephen west shawls as well as garments and any patterns designed for advent minis.
Prices range from £80 up to £265 depending on which kit you choose.
PAYMENT PLANS will be available with 5 monthly instalments. I will be using the subscription system on my website, so all you need to do is sign up for the payment plan and the payments will be sent from your account automatically on the first of each month for 4 months after the initial payment (equal payments on the initial purchase date and on June, July, August and September).
Haven Cottage - 24 day Advent
This years 24 day Yarn advent calendar theme is Haven Cottage! There will also be a weekly advent (4 x 120g sock set option) Haven Cottage option.
The 24 day advent will be available in different sizes (10g or 20g minis) and on different bases (Merino, Stellina, BFL, Highland wool, MCN, Baby alpaca on fingering weight yarn, and Merino or highland wool in DK). Each mini will be individually wrapped and some days will include a few little extra surprises (including something to sew). I also include a knitted or crochet pattern, mystery sewing kit and an exclusively printed Tote bag. With the option to add an additional 100g skein for Christmas day (different from the 12 day Advent and the 'Out of this World' sock set). Colourways will be pastel colours (see inspiration image above) and designed especially for the advent. Colours will not be based on Christmas but the Haven Cottage theme. Pre-ordered Advents will be dispatched in October to allow plenty of time to arrive before December.
Haven Cottage - Weekly Advent
In the same theme as the Haven cottage 24 day advent, I am also offering a weekly advent. Where you will receive 4 x 120g sock sets individually wrapped. The yarns will be dyed in similar colour to the inspiration image, but the actually colourways will be different from the colours in the 24 day advent and sock set alternative. The colours are designed to work well together in a project like a shawl, cardigan or jumper, but also could be used separately. These yarns will be available on different bases (Merino, Stellina, BFL, MCN, Alpaca, Highland wool on fingering weight yarn, and Merino or highland wool in DK). There will not be a pattern included in this weekly advent. Each package will include a little extra like a stitch markers. Pre-ordered kits will be dispatched mid October to allow plenty of time to arrive before December. 
12 day advent - 'Out of this world' theme
I have decided to do a separate 12 day advent this year for people to open on the 12 days preceding Christmas. The theme will be 'Out of this world'. The yarns will all be dyed in colours inspired by the image above.
They are available in different sizes (10g, 20g or 50g hanks) and on different bases (Merino, Stellina, BFL, MCN, Baby Alpaca, Highland wool on fingering weight yarn, and Merino or highland wool in DK). Each mini will be individually wrapped and some days will include a few little extra surprises (although not as many as in the 24 day advent). It will also include a pattern and an exclusively printed tote bag with the 'Out of this world' theme. With the option to add an additional 100g skein (different from the 24 day Advent and sock set). Pre-ordered Advents will be dispatched in mid October to allow plenty of time to arrive before December.
Project bag and yarn sock set alternative - 'Out of this World' theme
With the same 'Out of this World' theme, I decided to put together a special kit for making socks. This includes a 100g + 20g sock set with a choice of base (Merino, Stellina, BFL on fingering weight yarn or Merino DK). It will also include an exclusive project bag (medium sized) inspired by the 'Out of this World' theme, decorated with applique and free motion quilting with the choice of having a drawstring or zipped closure. The set will include a sock knitting pattern, Suitable for both fingering and DK weight yarn. Yarn colours will be different from the advent, so you may want to treat yourself to both kits. Pre-ordered kits will be dispatched mid October to allow plenty of time to arrive before December.
