The Frost Cowl pattern is designed to use scraps of leftover yarn or minis. Most of the cowl is really very simple, so you can relax and enjoy how the yarn is working up. The cowl is a tubular design, knitted in the round. This means you don’t have to sew in all those ends, because they will be hidden on the inside of the tube. The ends of the tube are joined using a Kitchener based technique, but without the headache of a special cast on.
The only technical aspect is the bobble stitch, which once you have done one, you will realise how easy and addictive they are. I also have a video tutorial to help you.

Requirements

Either
120g Fingering / 4ply weight yarn. You can use 24 x 5g or 12 x 10g minis, scraps of random sizes amounting to 120g or 100g of one colour.

Or 180g Double Knit weight yarn. You can use 12 x 20g minis or scraps of random sizes amounting to 180g or 135g of one colour.

One Stitch marker to mark the beginning of the round.

3.5 mm (4.5mm) circular needle for 4ply (DK) version (40cm [16 inch] cable). This cable length will allow you to continuously knit rather than knitting magic loop.

Gauge
Using Fingering (DK) weight yarn, stocking stitch 6 (5) stitches per inch, 9 (7) rounds per inch. For both yarn weights the finished size is 21cm / 8.3 inches (22.9cm / 9 inches) wide. The cowl is 61cm / 24 inches long.
